Audio Editing

Graphic of a musical note transforming into a pair of scissors with a gradient orange and yellow color.

Offered at both a standalone hourly-rate and as a part of package deals;

This service is for a recording or project that has been captured but not yet refined, this is the first stage in turning your audio into a level, trimmed and tidied, well paced and attention-grabbing piece of media.

Audio Editing is the one of the fundamentals of the Audio Engineering process. This usually includes volume normalisation, trimming the recording so it starts and ends right on the mark, with no awkward pauses. The same goes for the duration of the recording if needed, volume, timing and rhythm are key here.

Syncronisation

This fundamental process is for additional recordings and media which you wish to include into the final product/s - Video, Intro Songs, Sound Effects, Ads & Sponsors, Additional Prefaces or summaries; all of these components need to be synced together in a way that makes it sound like one cohesive story.

Sound Design and Production

Sound Design and Audio Production Icon

This is where we do intro songs, SFX (sound effects), punch-in recordings to replace part of the original recording, emulation of a specific room or space’s acoustic properties, perhaps a new jingle/sound tag for your project or any other creative musical or non musical inclusion which speaks to the tone and/or theme of the media. This sound design aspect can completely change the feeling of your media, making it more artistic and engaging to your audience. Otherwise, we go straight into Mixing.

Audio Mixing

Offered at both a standalone hourly-rate and as a part of packaged deals;

Mixing, which is usually a bit of EQ (balancing high pitched frequencies with low and mid level ones) and compression (balancing the delicate and quiet parts of a voice/sound with the louder stuff), creating more of an even soundscape. Sometimes a particular persons physiology and diaphragm or a particular room’s acoustics can create unbalanced sound which EQ and compression - if done correctly - can bring audible clarity and balance.

Phase 3

The final stage of audio engineering which takes your media over the finish line with industry gold standard practices and software as well as specialised know-how in Mastering.
